THE PRETTIEST PLANTING POTS

THE PRETTIEST PLANTING POTS

This will be my first post so feel free to comment on anything.  I love to do crafts of all kinds and enjoy typing and talking so I figure why not combine the two and start blogging?

I’m so excited to share my projects with my followers and I will be providing more tutorials and lists and anything that crosses my mind.

FUNNY SAYING PLANTING POT

I love this pretty planting pot and it’s funny nothing beats that.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

* Planting pot (I used a clay one)

* Chalk Paint (Color of choice)

* Acrylic Paint (Color of choice)

* Paint brush or two

* Vinyl (Optional)

FIRST

     Paint the entire pot with the chalk paint.  I like to let a layer dry and do another layer just to get the color to really show.

SECOND

Next design your saying or word on Cricut Design Space and cut out on vinyl.  Then use transfer tape to get vinyl onto pot and remove transfer tape.

FINALLY

Now paint over the vinyl with your paint color of choice.  I recommend using small amounts of paint or it will bleed under the vinyl and you won’t have crisp lines.  Last step is to peel away vinyl and plant some flowers.

ADORABLE FABRIC PLANTING POT

This is my favorite planted pot project so far.  It was so easy and cheap and the possibilities for designs are endless.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

* Planting pot (I used a clay one)

* Fabric Square (Made for quilting)

* Mod Podge

* Chalk

FIRST

Set the pot on its side and slightly roll it naturally on the fabric.  Take a chalk and outline the pot about an inch away from the clay pot.  Do this for both the top and bottom of the pot.

SECOND

When completed with previous step you will have an outline that looks like a rainbow.  Now cut on the chalk lines.

THIRD

Next use a generous amount of the Mod Podge and place the fabric around the pot.  I did little by little to make sure I didn’t have any bubbles or wrinkles and to be sure I had enough extra fabric on top and bottom to wrap the fabric.

FOURTH

Be sure to glue the inside of the pot and press the fabric into the inside.  You will also glue fabric to the bottom.

LAST

Let dry and plant something beautiful! I don’t have much luck with plants (YET!!) so I used tissue paper flowers.

GOEMETRIC PAINTED PLANTED POT

This is another easy one and if you are a severe crafter as I am then you will have most the supplies already.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

*  Planting pot (I used a clay one)

* White paint

* Black Brush Sharpie

* Painters Tape

FIRST

Place painters tape just below the rim, and then paint white. Let dry.

LASTLY

Using the black Sharpie brush create a design all around the pot on the white rim and then remove tape.

This pot was so easy it only required two steps, now that’s what I’m talking about.

CHALKBOARD PAINTED POT

I love this one because you can write anything you want for any holiday, season, or just for fun.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

* Planting Pot (I used a clay one)

* Painters Tape

* Chalkboard spray paint

FIRST

Place painters tape around rim of pot.

SECOND

Spray pot with chalkboard spray paint and let dry.

LAST

Plant pretty things and write what you want on you clay pot.

I hope that you have all enjoyed these pretty planting pots tutorials.  Again feel free to comment below if you have any questions and I will keep more tutorials and fun stuff coming your way.
